THE FILM:
When so many are struggling for connection, inspiration, and hope, FANTASTIC FUNGI brings us together as interconnected creators of our world. FANTASTIC FUNGI, directed by Louie Schwartzberg, is a consciousness-shifting film that takes us on an immersive journey through time and scale into the magical earth beneath our feet, an underground network that can heal and save our planet. Through the eyes of renowned scientists and mycologists like Paul Stamets, best-selling authors Michael Pollan, Eugenia Bone, Andrew Weil, and others, we become aware of the beauty, intelligence and solutions the fungi kingdom offer us in response to some of our most pressing medical, therapeutic, and environmental challenges.

"We're a small family farm advocating sustainability and agriculture. We grow organic gourmet and medicinal mushrooms here in Miami. We're very passionate about all things mycology and love to share that information through workshops. We will talk about the medicinal value that mushrooms have to offer. We will bring a Ganoderma lucidum specimen to show the audience, and talk about the benefits of consuming it in tea or tincture form. We will also discuss how the lion's mane mushroom has been used to treat and prevent Alzheimers, Parkinsons, and Dementia."

Green Gables Cafe is a small family-owned business. We began with a dream between mother, Ana Rabel and daughter, Laura Mar.Our concept, developed with much passion and care, brought Coral Gables its first restaurant that emphasized sustainability with a focus on local and organic foods. The well-being of our business is deeply rooted in the well-being of our community. We aim to nourish our customers with organic whole foods, in an inspired setting and at good value. Our dedication to responsibly grown and raised ingredients supports the growth of sustainable food systems and marks a return to the tradition of quality, nutrient-dense foods. We partner with local artisans and work with sustainable farmers to procure organic foods and pastured, grass-fed, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free meats and dairy. Beyond the food, we strive to be a welcoming example of environmentally conscious living. We commit to eco-friendly practices like utilizing compostable packaging, recycling, and plastic bottle waste reduction initiatives. We are always happy to share information about our products and practices.
South Florida Fungi's mission is to produce fresh, gourmet and exotic mushrooms that are locally and organically grown, using environmentally sound methods, in order to provide an exceptional product at a great value to our customers and end users. We believe in education, sustainability, and Innovation through an approach of community outreach.
