O Cinema's monthly series, SEASONED ACTORS, celebrates the work of an actor that has greatly contributed to the cinematic culture of our lifetimes. And to kick off the 2nd year, our first season of 2023 will be honoring the work of the trailblazing MICHELLE YEOH!To infiltrate a drug cartel, police Inspector Chan Ka Kui (Jackie Chan) goes undercover in a Chinese prison. There, he earns the trust of Panther (Yuen Wah), a cartel member, by breaking him out of prison. With the help of another undercover agent (Michelle Yeoh), they travel to Hong Kong and join up with Panther's gang. Ka Kui is accepted by the gang's leader (Ken Tsang), but his operation is jeopardized when Ka Kui's girlfriend (Maggie Cheung) accidentally reveals his true identity.Michelle Yeoh's performance in the film is notable for her portrayal of a strong, capable police officer who is able to hold her own in action scenes alongside Jackie Chan. Yeoh's character is also shown to be intelligent and resourceful, using her police training and tactics to outsmart the villains.
