Our new virtual cinema will allow us to continue sharing curated, cinematic gems with you by bringing the art house directly into your home while also helping support O Cinema.For some stars, a hometown is a place in the rear-view mirror, but not for Dolly Parton. Over the past 25 years, the superstar singer/songwriter/actress has quietly built the Imagination Library, one of the largest literacy-centered non-profits in the world. Launched as a gift to the children in Parton’s hometown of Seiverville, Tennessee, the Imagination Library has expanded to all 50 states and five countries, distributing more than 1.5 million free, age-appropriate books to children every month. In some communities without bookstores or libraries, this is the only connection families have to the world of literature. The new documentary THE LIBRARY THAT DOLLY BUILT goes behind-the-scenes of this unprecedented program to show how one of the most famous performers in the world has developed such an efficient, effective and beloved literary program. We all know Dolly Parton as a legendary entertainer; THE LIBRARY THAT DOLLY BUILT provides fascinating new insights into her career, her dreams and her legacy.
