Overview
Our new virtual cinema will allow us to continue sharing curated, cinematic gems with you by bringing the art house directly into your home while also helping support O Cinema.Narrated by Sarah Jessica Parker, THE TIMES OF BILL CUNNINGHAM features incredible photographs chosen from over 3 million previously unpublicized images and documents from iconic street photographer and fashion historian Bill Cunningham. Mark Bozek began work on this lovely and invigorating film about the now legendary street photographer on the day of Cunningham’s death in 2016 at the age of 87. Bozek is working with precious material, including a lengthy 1994 filmed interview with Cunningham (shot when he received a Media Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America) and his subject’s earliest pre-New York Times photographs, long unseen. In his customarily cheerful and plainspoken manner, Cunningham takes us through his Irish Catholic upbringing in Boston, his army stint, his move to New York in 1948 (which was controversial for his straitlaced family), his days as a milliner, his unique relationship with First Lady Jackie Kennedy, his close friendships with Nona Park and Sophie Shonnard of Chez Ninon, his beginnings as a photographer, and his liberated and wholly democratic view of fashion.

• General Admission – $10.00The first time you stream a movie on this platform you’ll need to create an account. This requires only your name, email address, and a password. To stream movies in the future, you can simply log in.Once your account has been created you’ll be given an opportunity to make a donation to the theatre. This is purely optional but, if you do decide to donate, thank you. You’ll then be taken to a payment screen, where you can enter your credit card information.Once your payment has been processed you should receive a confirmation email, and the film will become available to you for 48 hours. You should be able to stream the film on your computer, tablet, or mobile device, and, if you have a television that is able to mirror your computer or phone, possibly on your television as well.
